Yamaki is the leader of an organisation called Hypnos which tracks the 'wild ones' or Digimon that come into our world and tries to stop them from doing harm, but the way they'd do it is by trying to kill the creatures if they came through... Later when the organization goes under he relaizes his mistakes and becomes a good guy.
