Will Turner is the main protagonist of the first three films in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise Curse of the Black Pearl, Dead Man's Chest and At World's End and a supporting protagonist in the fifth film Dead Men Tell No Tales. He is the son of the pirate Bill Turner who upon being washed up on shore became a blacksmith and swordsman to kill pirates and win the love of Elizabeth Swann. However when she is kidnapped by Captain Barbossa he is forced to team up with a pirate named Jack Sparrow in order to save her who teaches him the ways of the pirate along the way.
