Both of these characters share some similarities that are both same and opposite:

• Both characters are raised by her single mom.
• Both have fathers that left the family.

• Both had a rough time in their twenties.
• Both are having a difficult time in their thirties.
• Both had a failed relationships.
• Both had dated a person with a toxic personality: Kara and Bojack.
• Both got dumped by that same toxic person.

  • However according to Dr. Mole that a 50/50 percent chance that Tuca could still have kids.

• If the series has continued or if it gets picked up again. Tuca would’ve shared a chapter arc with her current boyfriend Figgy.
• It’s unknown why auntie Tallulah keeps on insulting and using Tuca for personal gain. It could be that Tuca is the spitting image of her late mother and could be she might be jealous of her due to having children and she didn’t.
• In S1, Tuca is upset at Bertie for being attracted to Pastry Pete and reminding her she has a boyfriend, in S2 telling Bruce that she has a girlfriend and In S3 she still has feelings for Figgy. This is showing us, Tuca hates people who cheat on their love partner but she is shown to be very loyal to her own love partner. It could be that maybe her father might've cheated on her mom.
• Tuca loves wearing shorts or short shorts.
• Tuca was fired from over 50 jobs.
• Being a tour guide is her 51th job.
• Tuca’s favorite flavor of any dairy products is chocolate. Especially in the episode “The Sleepovers”.
• During her time of being an alcoholic, Tuca can easily attract both men and women to her but now that she’s been sober and showing her true personality only men still found her attractive but women don’t as they found her true self annoying. This is also foreshadowing that she will be with a man.
• Whenever Tuca dates a woman they’re mostly into Tuca’s body and not her personality, most notably: the hawk mechanic lady, Kara and Bunny.
• In both S1 and S2 last episode, Tuca will wait either for a phone call or a text message from an individual whom she loves and cares about. But once she gets a message it will always said “Nobody loves you”, which hurts Tuca so much. However, in S3 episode 8; Tuca finally received a message non other than at the time her ex boyfriend Figgy. Whom texts “You’re right. I’m sorry. It’s me, Figgy” and Tuca makes a warm smile. Showing that not only the awful “Nobody loves you “ message didn’t show up but this shows that there is someone out there who does love Tuca very much.
• Tuca is shown to be attracted to tall, strong, kind, caring and intelligent individuals, like: Figgy and Coach Maple.
• During S3, there have been hints that she and Figgy will have half-toucan/half-fig tree children.
• During S3, there have been foreshadowings of Figgy will be impregnating Tuca, which it does happen in ep9.
• Tuca would watch car crash videos as a coping mechanism due to the accident that happened to her and her mother.
• There are hints that Tuca may be suffering from a second PTSD, caused by her relationship with her narcissistic ex girlfriend. The first PTSD she received is when her mother died.
• Tuca uses a flip phone in Season One, but by the Season 2 premier she has a smartphone.
• In the past two seasons; Tuca can be seen either eating, holding, carrying or standing next to something that are/look like eggs. The egg is a symbol of new life, un-hatched potential, hope, purity, fertility and the circle of life. However in s3 Tuca is shown not eating or even holding an egg.
• Tuca is shown to be hugging herself; whenever a her date goes really bad and feels lonely at the same time. For example: in S1 ep 3, after Tuca’s date with the deli guy was disastrous, she hugged herself for fearing of her future if she becomes a lonely spinster. In S2 ep 9, during what was supposed to be a fun day at the carnival but kara’s rude and negative attitude had ruined the day. Made Tuca giving herself a hug.
• But in S3, Tuca is seen eating Figgy’s fig fruit. Fig fruit are also a symbolism of sex and fertility.

Cultural Reference

• Tuca’s friendship with Bertie is similar to Finn and Jake from “Adventure Time”.
• Tuca’s outfit colors are the same colors as Finn’s and the orange shoes same color as Jake the dog from “Adventure Time”.
• Tuca shares many similarities with Luanne from the adult animated series “King of the Hill”, as both women are: 1. Both wear the same style of outfits; tank tops and shorts 2. Both had slept with a lot of people (though Luanne is only into men) 3. Both were shown to be selfish at that time, 4. Both had attracted a pervert (Bruce and Mr. Strickland) 5. Both had finally found their true love: Figgy and Lucky 6. Both had come from a messy family, 7. Both had family members who didn’t care for the troubled female individual, 8.
