Most of the time, Tauriel doesn't need a man to save her, as she is able to get out almost in any of the situations they encounter. However, this contradicts as Kili has to run in to save her from Bolg, as well as Legolas. She easily recognized he growing evils of the world and the need to rid Middle-earth of them instead of being isolated.
