Stanley "Stan" Kurtz is the main protagonist from the 1981 psychological horror movie The Creepy Man and its sequel Stan. He was portrayed by Nolan Splavec. He is a 9 year old mentally ill child who has nightmares. Stan also has a best friend named Kevin.

Stan is a very intelligent child. He was diagnosed with mental illness and is a 3rd grade student. Stan has a best friend named Kevin and he goes to the same class as Stan. Stan's father, David, is an abusive, psychopathic, and selfish man. Stan's mother, Janet, is a caring and loving mother. She has been abused by her husband for a long time.

Stan is a 9 year old autistic, mentally ill child, and has been having nightmares. One night, while sleeping in his bed, he woke up from a nightmare and went downstairs to get a drink. While doing so, his father, David, came home drunk, he started beating up his son. Then his mother, Janet, came home. David stopped beating his son and began to beat his wife. While David was beating his mother, Stan had to watch his parents fighting. After a few minutes, his father stopped beating his mother, then he went back to his room. After that, Stan tried to stop his mother from crying.
