Snoo is the genderless alien representative for the website "Reddit". Snoo represents discovery and understanding across communties.
Background[]
Co-founder Alexis Ohanian (also known on Reddit.com as u/kn0thing) drew the character in notebook during a marketing class in his senior year at the University of Virginia. Before Reddit was launched, Ohanian wanted to name the site S'new, a combining of the phrase "What's New?". Reddit was chosen for the website name on launch and the name S'new eventually morphed into Snoo and was given to the mascot of the site on the launch date.
What is Snoo's story?[]
Snoo first encountered our earth after time traveling from the future into our present. Snoo simply wants to observe earth's culture, and to discover what humanity has to offer. If society were to fail, Snoo could not travel back to it's present. Snoo's main goal is to ensure that earth has a successful run.
Body Structure[]
Snoo is a short undisclosed height with eyes the color of #FF4500, a round head, round ears, a small crooked antenna (no judgement here!) with a ball at the end and a common smile on it's face.
