l0iSally "Sal" Primarosa is a lonely teenage girl who spends her time taking photos along the beachside. She grieves over the day her sister went missing and plays the violin to compensate. And though her mother pushes her skills onto her, Violet has no heart for the violin. One day, she unintentionally conjures the mysterious demon Echo, who grants vast wishes for an unnamed price. Sally ends up getting tangled up in violence and supernatural chaos in the steps of trying to get back her younger sister, Salem.
Early Life[]
Sally was born in the fictional town White Willow along the coast of England February 1st, 1982. She was born to Eva Primarosa, though her father went missing when she was eight, and has been a mystery to her since. As a child, she was fond of photography and the arts, though her mother spent many days out at clubs and raves, trying to get over the alleged rumors of her missing husband and her two daughters who she'd have to raise by herself. And even still, she pressured Sally to get perfect grades and practice her violin more for a good future. As Sally grew older, she matured quicker than the average child, seeing she had a little sister, Salem, whom she had to take care of in replacement of their commonly absent mother. She learned how to cook on the stove at nine and began to do small jobs for the neighbors for money so her and Salem didn't have to eat cold steak every night. Her mother would always come drunk and sluggish during midnight, glass bottle in her hand, to which Sally began to get used to. She and her mother never talked much, and Sally began to get used to purely talking to Salem. She didn't need anyone else but her sister, and as long as she had Salem, she would be okay without friends. That is, until the night Salem went missing. Sally was 12, her little sister 9 when the Sally woke up at the dead of night in a sweat, a terrifying image of her sisters rotting corpse in a nightmare of hers. And immediately, she rushed to Salem’s room, but Salem was gone. Sally searched everywhere, every dark corner, the basement, even the old storage closet, but to no avail. She couldn’t tell her mother, because, well, she wasn’t there. She’d probably be home later because of the thunderstorm that was outside. Sally wanted to go to the station, seeing the phone line was down. Her house was rather isolated, set near the snowy forest instead of a neighborhood, so she couldn’t call neighbors for help. The thunder was deafening, and the Salem feared that the storm would be too strong to travel through. But eventually, she made the hesitant decision to go, fearing that something happened to Salem. Sally was rather anxious at the sight of thunder, and was too embarrassed to admit her astraphobia to anyone, but needed to face her fears for her sister. Sally could have waited for the storm to wear off, but the nightmare convinced her she needed to go immediately. Mid-walk, something unexpected happened to Sally. The storm was at its worse, and she suddenly stood frozen on an intersection. At the time, Sally had serious undiagnosed insomniac anxiety from all the work she'd been doing to impress her mother the rare times she appeared, and from taking care of Salem. On top of that, the lighting terrified her greatly, and she ended up passing out from the amount of stress and panic she was under. When she woke up, the storm had passed, but something was off. As she scanned her surroundings and gained her consciousness, she noticed a bloody jacked wrapped up beside the stop sign behind her. And another thing. Her sister was gone. After the incident, Eva lost custody of Sally because of child neglect, irresponsible use of alcohol, and failure of providing basic necessities such as food and clothing. Salem’s washed up body was found a week later in the community lake, and her case remained unsolved. Sally was eventually brought into a foster home and adopted by Charlotte Seagrave, a quiet work alcoholic.
Personality[]
Sally is a rather quiet individual that doesn't express much emotion when talking to others. After her sister's disappearance, she rarely talked to Charlotte, who locked herself in her office day to day, rarely talking to her daughter. She often rants about her judgmental mother mentally, and doesn't think of her as any better than Eva. Sally didn't bother communicating with the students at her private school, either. This resulted in her having a rather lonely and antisocial persona, seeing as when she first met Farah K, she listened more than she spoke. Sally only ever rarely smiles when talking to the stray cat at the beach, Laine.
Appearance[]
Sally is a short, stubby girl at around 5'3 with pale skin. She has thick black hair that's tied into two large buns, and twisted black eyes that she likes to call "The Devil's Portals," but is blind in her left eye because of a wish she made. She does not wear her glasses, though her mother refuses to get her contacts, so Sally usually has a hard time reading out words or phrases on signs. When she's not at home wearing an old fashioned nightgown, she is wearing a mix of her school uniform and normal clothes. Her vest is a deep midnight black shaping a vertical V beneath a silky red bowtie. It’s layered atop the general white collar shirt with short, puffy sleeves, a fitted maroon blazer shirt holding it all together. A small, golden pin embedded near one of the blazer pockets makes out the words WILLOWS ACADEMY. She always wears two white silk bows on the sides of her hair, a late birthday gift Charlotte had gotten her for her 17th birthday.
After her possession, Sally is seen to have three permanent tattoos, a sort of demon mark. Two are stuck onto her back, one showcasing a black, bleeding eye, and another a series of black lines stretching along the top of her back, like strikes of thunder. (Ironic, isn't it?) On the front, Sally has another dark black mark that is shaped like a series of bleeding branches, stretching from atop her thighs to right below her heart. Many people mistake these for tattoos, which was rather a relief for Sally.
Powers & Abilities[]
Demon Physiology - When Sally meets the ominous demon Echo and gets possessed through her manipulation, the aftermath caused various changes to her body. Echo transferred their demonic abilities onto Sally's body, and many of those abilities did not leave. That is the reason for the demon marks, they connect Sally to her demonic abilities.
Illusion Manipulation - One of the several abilities Sally gained was Illusion Manipulation. She is able to induce generally terrifying hallucinations to the human eye, manipulating it to fit all the five senses. In doing so, the fake images she generated during possession drove many individuals insane.
Puppet Mastery - As a result of her possession, Sally was able to control the spirts that roamed the town (she was able to see other spirts after summoning Echo, and many of them wanted to take her place, or possess her.) like little puppets, though it took a great amount of effort. During possession, Echo tossed around said spirts like ragdolls.
Fear Inducement - While Echo possessed her, Sally developed a wicked glare that could send chills down both human's and supernatural's spines.
Telekinesis - When Sally feels intense emotion, she often finds small objects such as tissue boxes and pencils quietly hovering over their tables. She only uses this ability unintentionally.
Invisibility - Seeing Echo is from the afterlife, they were able to turn invisible whenever they pleased, an ability Sally accidentally found she had after possession.
Enhanced Durability - Sally is able to withstand harsh conditions longer than the average human.
Enhanced Strength - It doesn't take much effort for Sally to destroy things, her strength ten times stronger than the average human. An ability she despised, seeing when she was stressed out from the amount of destruction Echo caused, she accidently crumbled an entire building with her bare fists.
