Rubeus Hagrid is one of the major characters of Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. Throughout the book series, he supports Harry and becomes one of his many father figures and was one of his first friends and the one to tell Harry that he is a wizard.
In the film series, he is portrayed by Scottish actor Robbie Coltrane.
Appearance [ ] Hagrid is almost twice as tall as a regular man, which is a result of him being a half-giant. He's big and has long, brown hair and a beard.
