Randall "Randy" Boggs is the secondary antagonist of Monsters, Inc and the supporting protagonist turned antagonist in Monsters University. He was originally a nerd and best friends with Mike at M.U. however being accepted into R.O.R. (Roar Omega Roar) (because of tricks Mike originally taught him) his personality changed for the worse and he became cold and ruthless, and developed a deep grudge against Sulley ever since he humiliated him at the scare games. It was since then that Randall became his rival and desperate to outmatch him at M.I., however he then decided to outmatch him by dangerously forcing the screams out of children with a scream extraction machine instead of actually scaring them and forces his assistant Fungus to take part. In Monsters, Inc he at first appears to be the main antagonist however he turns out to have been working for the films true main antagonist.

- In earlier versions of the script his names were Ned and Switt.
- The scene where Randall threatens to put Fungus through the shredder is a reference to another scene in the 1996 film Fargo where Steve Buscemi's character Carl Showalter was betrayed by his partner in crime Gaear Grimsrud and put through the shredder.
- Randall is shown being referred to by first name while all other scarers are referred to by their last names.
