Professor Funtime is a major antagonist in the Origami Yoda series by Tom Angleberger. He is one of the main antagonists of The Surprise Attack of Jabba the Puppet and Princess Labelmaker to the Rescue. He is also briefly mentioned in Emperor Pickletine Rides The Bus.
He is the mascot of the Funtime program of the Edu-Fun company, depicted as a professor who teaches middle school children English and math through the use of songs and music videos to prepare them for their tests, and is usually accompanied by his sidekick Gizmo, a singing calculator.
His presence, as well as that of the Funtime program at McQuarrie Middle School, was the reason that the school's principal, Rabbski, had to cut her students' favorite classes and electives, including dismissing some of their teachers, inadvertently becoming a threat to the students—the main protagonists of the story, as well as a source of their distaste and grievances towards the Funtime program.
