Orochimaru is a major character in the Naruto franchise originally serving as the main antagonist of Naruto Part I only to become a major antagonist turned anti-hero in Naruto Part II/Shippuden and a supporting character in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. He was a former Leaf Village shinobi who originally aimed to obtain all the jutsu in the world by doing terrible things such as experimenting on live human beings before he realized he prefers to see his disciples stronger rather than himself.
