Mike Schmidt is a fictional character and the main protagonist in the original Five Nights at Freddy's game. Looking for a job, he comes across a job advertisement about working the night shift at a pizzeria. Agreeing, Schmidt is allocated the time slot between 12AM and 6AM, where his main goal is to ensure the four original animatronics are kept safe back in the Stage.
With him are two metallic doors and lights, on either side, and a security camera. With these equipments, Mike can escape from the animatronics by closing the doors, keeping the four animatronics away from the Office. However, each equipment drains the pizzeria's power, and the restaurant can only power four pieces of equipment at a time, including a continuously running fan.
At any one night, Mike Schmidt can come to terms with the fifth animatronic and possible hallucination, Golden Freddy, which is only activated upon glimpsing at a poster located by CAM 2B. Other hallucinations include the writings "IT'S ME" written across the screen, and walls.
Five Nights at Freddy's
