Mechagodzilla is the main antagonist of the 2021 crossover film Godzilla vs. Kong, the fourth installment of the MonsterVerse franchise. It was a mechanized counterpart of Godzilla created by Apex Cybernetics in order to wipe out every Titan in the world, so that humans would become the dominant species on Earth.
However, the robot would later fall under the influence of Ghidorah and instead sought out to destroy humanity itself so that Ghidorah could pick up where he left off and take the Earth for himself.
