Kylo Ren (born Ben Solo) is the central antagonist of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, becoming the deuteragonist in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Portrayed by Adam Driver, he is the the son of Han Solo and Leia Organa of the original Star Wars trilogy and the love interest of the protagonist of the sequel trilogy, Rey. Throughout his early life, Ben Solo trained as a Jedi student under Luke Skywalker before turning to the dark side. He then joined the Knights of Ren under the Supreme Leader Snoke.

- Even though he is not officially a Sith, he was secretly and unknowingly an apprentice to the Sith lord, Darth Sidious and has shown traits of the Sith: He wears the trappings of the Sith; he fights like the Sith; And like some Sith apprentices, he overthrew Snoke and usurped his throne.
