Kate Moon is a character from the Oh Yeah! Cartoons episode segment and TV pilot, "Planet Kate". She holds a map that she drew as the key to the Ancient City of Lost Dogs. She was voiced by Shayna Fox.

About Kate[]

Kate frets about being unable to find her homework assignment as she tells her mom. Her mom asks her just what the homework assignment is for and she says it's for her geography class, as she drew a map. Her mom is sure that it will turn up eventually and reminds Kate to feed her pet dog, Toby, as Kate realizes she forgot about that. Her mom also tells her daughter not to go too far in the desert as the latter goes outside. As Kate prepares the dog food, she finds that Toby has gone missing while she explains to the viewers that she was visited by a few alien dogs who came to Earth. They're searching for what they think may be an ancient city of lost dogs where she lives. She says her parents are unaware of them, but has a feeling that it's too soon to reveal the secret and share with them just yet. She figures that they must have Toby with them and the map as well. When the alien dogs return to the desert, Kate finds that they took Toby to outer space with them again. When she approaches Toby, he belches. One of the alien dogs, Max, explains just what they were doing with Toby. Kate asks him about that as she told him before not to take Toby to outer space. Max defends his and the other alien dogs' actions, saying it was done so that Toby can learn to be a real dog. Kate insists that Toby is, in fact, a real dog, but Max says otherwise. Toby is wearing a pressure suit, which looks like a spacesuit. Kate begins to touch him, but Max advises her not to do so due to it being flame retardant material. He says she'll just have to let Toby be until the effects of the spacesuit wears off for a while. Max goes off to do some searching and excavating. The other alien dogs: Rothgar, Bolivar, Juno, and Cleo, exit their spaceship as well. Kate asks Juno and Cleo where the map is, but they tell her to ask Rothgar and Bolivar as they might know, and Kate says she thinks she'll do just that. Kate finds the two searching and digging for the map. But she tells the alien dogs she has it as she shows it to them. At first, this is good news and they're thrilled about it. But the bad news is, as she breaks it to them, it's not a real map, as she just drew it herself for her geography homework assignment. The alien dogs are saddened and disappointed by this while Kate looks at them sympathetically. Cleo tells her to just go and Juno tells her to take that half of the map with her. Kate is unaware of this and asks what half that is. Max walks over to where the other half of the map is and shows it to her. It's imprinted on a base hidden behind some plant leaves. Somehow, it turns out that the half of the map on there and the other half drawn by Kate are a perfect match. When the halves are put together, they glow and activate, being a sign that there is an ancient city of lost dogs after all. The alien dogs are now happy about this discovery, that the fact that they're getting closer to achieve their goal is coming true, and they go off to explore more about this. After Kate checks Toby's pressure suit and sees that the effect have worn off, she wonders just how she's going to avoid upsetting the alien dogs again. Bringing Toby along with her, she follows most of the alien dogs as Rothgar stays behind.
