Karl Heinz Schneider (カール・ハインツ・シュナイダー), known as the Young Emperor (ドイツの若き皇帝, lit. Germany's young emperor) and later Emperor, is the captain, ace striker and one of the top players of Germany.

He first appeared in the Captain Tsubasa manga. Schneider wears the jersey #11 and he plays for Bayern Munich. Schneider is also the guy whom Wakabayashi admired the most when he was in Germany since many shots from Schneider were untouchable.
Personality[]
In daily life, Schneider is kind and caring. He loves his family dearly, especially after his parent's close divorce. He is also very sentimental. He kept wearing his father's pendant even off the field. The pendant, however, was the engagement gift from Schneider's mother to the father. Once on the field, Schneider can become very serious and even ruthless. There are even times when he injures other players from the opposite team, especially if his team is in a pinch. His need to see his family watching and cheering him on is the only major distraction that sapped his motivation. That was apparent in his final game for Hamburg.
