Jonathan Yuan is the main protagonist in Akito B. Takahashi's Conquer The Ninja World series. He is also a devout Christian who found himself mysteriously transported to a parallel universe he had previously obsessed over. Accepting his entrapment, he reluctantly decides to take drastic measures, mercilessly eliminating any beings he encounters—with the sole aim of finding a way back to earth. His motivation stems from a deep longing to reunite with his beloved family, rather than enduring the torment inflicted upon him by the perceived "lifeless" ninjas of this strange world.
Characteristics[]
Jonathan, a young man with a dusky complexion, possessed all the physical traits he had as a child upon entering the ninja world, with the exception of his eye color. Throughout the series, he showcased a variety of ensembles, even going so far as to spend days clad only in his undergarments. Neglecting his grooming, his braids morphed into natural brown dreadlocks that cascaded past his upper back.
Though not considered conventionally handsome or charming, he was described as average-looking for the time. As he matured, he made the choice to don a black and green kimono, oblivious that it complemented his eye colour. Due to his relentless battles, the outfit would frequently suffer tears, necessitating his own diligent mending. Concealed beneath the kimono, he sports an impressive muscular physique.
Interests[]
Being wrapped in an enigma, Jonathan has no particular interests except returning to earth. This is at the cost of completely annihilating the current world he’s in and its people in order to reach that interest. Propelled by his need for power and a relentless disdain for society's norms, he played the villain role, leaving torment in his wake.
While his malevolence painted him as a villain, Jonathan's true fascination lay in the art of perseverance. His relentless pursuit of strength over his new abilities allowed him to perfect his skills and triumph over many of his adversaries. Although they were unconventional, he managed to balance the line between good and evil, ultimately transcending what his new body was capable of. It was this relentless pursuit that both captivated and repulsed those who dared to cross his path.
Relationships[]
Because of his disdain for the world he’s in and its people, he has little to no relationships that don't offer him an opportunity to grow. However, his devotion to his faith in Jesus Christ takes priority over any personal connections. While Jonathan's cold-heartedness and devotion to God are defining characteristics of his personality, his lack of interest in romantic relationships and focus on escaping the world of ninjas should not be portrayed as negative.
Jesus Christ[]
Above all else, Jonathan's relationship with Jesus Christ is his driving force and the foundation of his life. He fully devotes himself to his faith, seeking guidance, strength, and the purpose of one day escaping his current fate. Jonathan embraces Christ as his true source of love and fulfillment, replacing personal relationships with an unbreakable bond with God.
Ninjas[]
Within the ninja community, Jonathan chose not to form any connections with others. Since no other ninjas share his common goal of destroying the world, it is clear no one would get along with him. This is what also led Jonathan to remain emotionally distant, avoiding personal attachments or romantic entanglements.
Non-Ninjas[]
Jonathan's interactions with average citizens reveal a somewhat darker nature. Driven by his ambitions, he does not hesitate to exploit them or trick them. Should he recognize their worth, he values them more as pawns in his schemes as oppose to how he would treat real people from earth. Jonathan might choose to slay or control such creatures for his benefit, giving them a false sense of protection in their deceitful world.
