Klownzilla arrived where all five human characters that had intruded into the Big Top were just about to get away. It was likely that Klownzilla came in to assert his leadership of the Klowns against the Terenzi Brothers’ so-called The Great and Powerful Jojo. Klownzilla did not mistake the fake plastic clown head for a real Klown like the other Klowns, and smashed it, before pounding on the Terenzi Brothers’ ice cream van and throwing it away, causing a gasoline explosion.
Klownzilla was about to grab Mike and Debbie, but Officer Hansen distracted him with his pistol allowing Mike and Debbie to run off in the giant hole made in the wall by the Terenzi's entrance. Hansen’s pistol had no effect on Klownzilla and then the giant Klown grabbed Hansen with his fist. By now, the human police had arrived to hunt down the aliens responsible for the genocide on the town at the Big Top, but the circus tent had begun to lift off to go back to outer space, where the Klowns had come from. Before Klownzilla could kill Hansen, he used his police badge to stab Klownzilla’s nose, leading to Klownzilla dropping Hansen and then spinning around before exploding. This caused the Big Top to explode, killing off all the other Killer Klowns.
Jojo the Klownzilla was portrayed by Charles Chiodo, one of the Chiodo brothers and co-creater of Killer Klowns From Outer Space.
Klownzilla as well as the Female Killer Klowns are perhaps the only Klowns not assigned to go kill humans. His reason would have to be because of his high authority.
- Klownzilla was originally going to be stop-motion, but due to time and budget, was a rubber suit.
- A mask was made from Klownzilla, but instead has white hair and a golden neck. It is usually found for the retail price of $70.00.
