Jessica Christopher Day is the main character of the series New Girl. She is a young woman in her 30s, who is trying to find herself after a scandalous breakup with her boyfriend, whom she caught cheating on her. She is a teacher, and throughout the series we see her teaching both children and adults. Jess enjoys crafts, but does not have much time to practice it. She appears as a girl who needs a new place to live (she lived with her ex-boyfriend), so through an internet post she meets her future roommates, Nick, Schmidt and Winston. Her best friend is a super model named Cece whom she tells everything and in whom she trusts completely, while Cece does not exactly tell Jess everything.
