Commander James Bond is a fictional character created by the late English novelist Ian Fleming for a series of spy novels that were later adapted and served as inspiration for several films. Bond is a secret agent with MI-6 who has the discretionary "license to kill" that comes with being in the 00 section.
In the 25 films that have so far featured the character, he has been portrayed by six actors: the late Sean Connery, George Lazenby, the late Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig.
