About Herself[]
Herself finishes taking her morning shower and with the use of her wand magically gets dressed before tending to her duties with nature, like magically giving a worm with poor eyesight a pair of glasses. After flying through the forest, she is with a fawn. Herself aspires to be as good at being a nature guardian as her father was and tells the fawn it's time for its walking lesson. The fawn tries to stand and walk, but then loses its balance, and falls. The fawn and Herself smile at each other. A vulture named Vendetta watches them from afar before flying off and back to a swamp where her owner, Thorn, and his daughter, Creeping Ivy, live. They plan to steal Herself's wand so that they can use it to destroy nature, turning it into darkness and gloom. Later, Herself and the forest animals are interrupted when the vines that are extended from Creeping Ivy's fingertips stretch and reach the area where they are. Creeping Ivy uses the vines to ensnare the animals. One vine is wrapped around the fawn and Herself struggles to free it, assuring it she'll protect it. She manages to free it and goes to free a rabbit, but then she's captured by another vine and a third vine knocks her wand out of her hand, and it drops. Vendetta captures it with her beak and carries it away. Herself is then put in an enchanted garden where she's kept for a year and a day.
Herself's fellow elves, Meadow Morn, Willow Song, Snow Drop, and Wood Pink have been searching for her all this time. They meet a male wood sprite named Wilfie who accompanies them on their mission. They eventually find her in a fortress made of tangled bramble. When Herself is asked why she didn't just use her wand to get free, she tells the others that Thorn has it in his possession and explains that he, and his daughter, have plans to ruin nature. After hearing this, the other elves then head to Thorn and Creeping Ivy's place, leaving Herself behind in a cloud of dust in their rush. Wilfie offers some assistance to her and the other girls, and she tells him they need all the help they can get. They have only a couple hours left to achieve their goal. Everyone then goes to Thorn's Swamp and splits up in order to cover more ground. The other elves try using their wands to work their magic for various reasons but all of them misfire. They then begin to argue and blame one another for the mishaps, but Herself tells them that she takes all the responsibility as she didn't do enough to keep nature safe. After telling them that they have to work together as a team to accomplish what they set out to do, the other elves all agree to continue their mission. The elves and Wilfie enter a curving log that leads them to the entrance of Thorn and Creeping Ivy's place at the other end of it. When they get there, Wood Pink leaves the others to search for the wand elsewhere and Willow Song goes off on her own as well, but Wood Pink is discovered by Creeping Ivy who puts her in a cage. Herself climbs up a rope to the door's transom and Wilfie does the same, following her. Vendetta catches them in the act and swoops down, causing Snow Drop to let go of the rope and Herself, and Wilfie enter the transom, falling down on the other side of the door. Snow Drop tries to use her wand to fend off Vendetta, but the magical power weakens. Creeping Ivy then captures Snow Drop and Meadow Morn as well. Herself and Wilfie enter Thorn's lab and walk across a table. While Herself's back is turned, before she can even turn around and notice, Wilfie is captured under a glass by Creeping Ivy. Creeping Ivy tries to catch Herself with the vines shooting out of her fingers, but misses as Herself dodges them and escapes. Creeping Ivy searches for her and thinking that Herself is in a trunk, she looks in there but finds no one. Little does she know, she missed Herself holding onto the underside of the lid. Herself then flies toward the other rooms and tries entering them, but a couple entrances are blocked by Creeping Ivy's foliage. Creeping Ivy has Herself right where she wants her at a bridge. As Herself backs away, she tells Creeping Ivy she's not afraid of her and Creeping Ivy tells her she's a fool. Herself grabs one of Creeping Ivy's vines and does a gymnastic flip over it before she escapes once again, causing Creeping Ivy to be brought up to a higher part of the room with her vines tangled and left hanging. Herself then returns to Wilfie and he gives her a boost to reach a nest where her wand is. Thorn catches them in the act while Creeping Ivy brings along three of the elves. Just as Thorn orders Vendetta to seize them, Willow Song arrives in time to put a stop to the villains. Herself manages to retrieve her wand. She and the other elves use them in time before time is up, and magic wears off for good. Three of the other elves circle around Thorn, surrounding him. Meadow Morn uses her wand to make Vendetta drowsy and fall asleep, Snow Drop uses hers to cause a wind chill to enter a window and make Thorn shiver, and Herself uses hers to make Creeping Ivy's spider earrings come to life, playing happy music on violins. This causes Creeping Ivy to get weepy and her tears fall on her foliage attire causes many vines to grow from it, so much so that they reach out the windows of hers and Thorn's home. Thorn is heard saying he'll get revenge on the elves who are now outside and Creeping Ivy tells her dad to tell them that. Herself says that she and the others will be ready as well and the beauty, and brightness, of nature is saved.
Some time later, the elves throw a victory party. But the four, other elves can't have it until Herself arrives. Wilfie comes to the party to join the girls, but Meadow Morn tells him no wood sprites are allowed, elves only. He sadly begins to leave, but Herself appears and tells them that, at least, one wood sprite is allowed to stay, being Wilfie, before she magically picks him up from the ground with her wand, has him move back towards her, he falls to the ground, and they laugh heartily.
