Henry J. Waternoose III, or simply known as Mr. Waternoose or Waternoose, is the overarching antagonist of the Disney/Pixar animated Monsters, Inc. franchise, serving as one of the two main antagonists (alongside Randall Boggs) of Monsters, Inc., and a major antagonist in Monsters at Work.
He is the former chairman of the company, Sulley and Mike's former boss, mentor, father figure, best friend and arch-rival and Randall's former boss, partner-in-crime and unwitting pawn. He’s an anti-villain who wants to save the company.
