Harry the Hipster is a muppet character from Sam and Friends. He is a jazz aficionado who speaks in a hip slang. He is a part of the original group of muppets from that series and was created by Jim Henson as early as December 1954. Harry, Sam, and Yorick would later make a cameo in the TV special, The Muppets: A 30th Anniversary Celebration. He was puppeteered by Jim Henson.
Physical Appearance[]
Harry is a black sock puppet-type with arms and orange stripes around his torso. He wears round sunglasses with white frames and dark lenses.
Personality[]
Harry is a beatnik who is coolly laid-back and friendly.

- Harry could possibly have been named after jazz pianist, Harry "The Hipster" Gibson and served as inspiration for him.
- Harry and the other Sam and Friends characters (including the original Kermit) are now on display at The Smithsonian.
