Granny Frump is a supporting character from The Addams Family. She is the mother of Morticia Addams and Ophelia Frump and the maternal grandmother of the Addams' children. A brunette old woman (looking slightly younger than Grandmama) with a large nose and her hair tied into a neat bun. She dressed in various frumpy clothing (Given that her last name is Frump) and would wear an occasional hat. As mother to Morticia and Ophelia, she tended to favor Ophelia and regarded Morticia as a disappointment. She and Grandmama are two different characters that have, overtime, been swapped, composited, and often used interchangeably. She was used as a stand-in for Grandmama in the well-known live-action movies.
