Goldilocks is a character from the Merrie Melodies' short, "The Bear's Tale". She was voiced by Bernice Hansen.

About Goldilocks[]

The narrator mentions Goldilocks skipping through the woods and she is shown doing just that. Then, the narrator mentions that she sees a house. Goldilocks continues skipping down a hill before reaching it and knocks on the door. Unbeknownst to her, she goes to the wrong house and there's a wolf in there waiting for Little Red Riding Hood. As the wolf is shown in bed wearing a cap and nightgown, disguised as Little Red Riding Hood's grandma, he begins to tell Goldilocks to come in the first time, then clears his throat and disguises his voice in a higher pitch to imitate Little Red Riding Hood's grandma's voice as a ruse and says sweetly, "Come in". When the door is opened, the wolf is surprised to find that it's another girl instead. He asks what this is and who she is. Goldilocks tells him her name and asks, "Isn't this where the three bears live?". Then, the wolf mockingly replies, "No, this isn't where the three bears live!" and tells her the Bear family's house is two miles down the road. He shows her out the door and tells her to leave as she is ruining his plan. Then, flirtatiously and saucily, she asks, "What's Little Red Riding Hood got that I haven't got?" and swaying her hips, she struts off to the other house. The wolf realizes he's better off eating Goldilocks instead and heads to the Bears' house to wait for her.

When Goldilocks arrives at the Bears' house, she enters the smallest door beneath the two bigger ones. Having eaten some porridge and now sleepy, Goldilocks silently yawns and heads to the upstairs bedroom as mentioned by the narrator with the wolf there, still waiting. After Little Red Riding Hood finds a letter left by the wolf about him having gone to the Bears' house to eat Goldilocks after he got fed up with waiting for her, Little Red Riding Hood calls Goldilocks to warn her about him. In a diagonal split-screen, the two girls are seen conversing with each other and Goldilocks reaches across the split-screen to shake Little Red Riding Hood's hand to thank her for it. Both girls then leave, but Goldilocks returns to the phone briefly trying to get a coin out a slot, then she remembers what Little Red Riding Hood just said and leaves again.
