Glowworm is a character from The Fairytaler episode, "The Old Street Lamp".
About Glowworm[]
The glowworm shows up by walking across a roof's gutter where a talking fish head and a talking piece of wood are. The fish head asks who she is and she tells them she's a glowworm, as she demonstrates to them by illuminating her tail. The fish head asks how she got here. She tells him that, as a worm, she keeps her ear to the ground and that the word on the street is that the old street lamp is being replaced by a gas lamp, that the fish head and the piece of wood are applying to fill in for him, and that she just wiggled up the sewer pipe. She's looking to be a fill-in for the street lamp too. The fish head tells her that the light in her tail doesn't shine bright enough. Offended, her tail glows again and she tells them that they're just a fish head and a piece of rotten wood, and that she's going to take the street lamp's place. As all three of them are now competing to be the street lamp's replacement, the fish head suggests that they just let the street lamp decide who it should be and the piece of wood agrees. As the fish head asks who he will choose, the street lamp confesses that he doubts any of them will do. The fish head asks him what he does know, since he's going to be melted into something else. The glowworm tells the fish head and piece of wood that she's off to prepare to take over the street lamp's position. The piece of wood complains that that's not fair when suddenly a gust comes along and blows all three of them off the gutter and into a barrel.
The three begin to emerge from the barrel. After that rough landing from such a high place, the glowworm says she'll never climb sewer pipes again. The fish head notices a falling star as he tells the others. In that case, the glowworm basically says that there's no point in sticking around here as she's no longer needed and leaves.
Physical Appearance[]
The glowworm is a svelte species of worm and kind of insect with golden brown skin and black eyes. She has two antennae, arms, legs, and a thick tail that glows neon green. The back of her head has a part that is shaped to simulate a feminine hairstyle.
Personality[]
The glowworm is illuminating, sultry, and self-confident. She gets indignant easily when anyone talks badly about her tail-lighting ability and doubts her power.
