Kovu is the deuteragonist of The Lion King 2 Simba's Pride. He is a member of a group of lions known as the outlanders, son of Zira and the brother of Nuka and Vitani. He is Kiara's best friend and Iove Interest.

Being the son of Zira and Scar and being raised to kill Simba in revenge for his murder and being raised in the outlands was hard due to lack of alot of food sources and Kovu overtime developed feeling for Kiara and decided not to kill cause of this and cause of his betrayal according to his mother Zira bacause him killing his brother Nuka and not killing like he raised to and a clan war happened and he tried to stop it along with Kiara and was unable to and the ending result was the death of his mother.
