Delphine LaLaurie is a once wealthy socialite known throughout New Orleans, later discovered to be a nefarious serial killer who tortured and murdered her black slaves. She is a main character in American Horror Story: Coven. She is portrayed by Kathy Bates, who also portrays Annie Wilkes from Misery.
