Mike Perterson, alias Deathlok, was an agent of agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. before HYDRA captured him and turned into a cyborg to serve their purposes. He was eventually freed from their control and was on the move to do good to atone what he was forced to do. On occasion, he was called by S.H.I.E.L.D. to help them on certain situations.
