David Banner is the main antagonist of Ang Lee's 2003 Hulk film, portrayed by Nick Nolte. He is also the father of Bruce "Krenzler" Banner.
History[]
David Banner was a gifted scientist and came up with an idea to create an army of super soldiers for the government, but was not allowed to test on humans. He tested on himself and impregnated his wife, Edith. She gave birth to their son, Bruce. Four years later, David set off a gamma bomb and attempted to kill his son. He accidentally killed his wife and got imprisoned by the military for thirty years. He killed the janitor of Berkeley institute and sneaked into it so he can spy on his son. He kept talking to his son about what truly happened thirty years ago.
