Crunch is a character from Mighty Orbots. He is among the six Orbots created by Rob Simmons. He was voiced by Don Messick in the English dub and Ikuya Sawaki in the Japanese dub.
About Crunch[]
Crunch is the omnivorous glutton of the group of Orbots. He has such a voracious appetite, always having food on his mind. The various materials he eats (metal, stone, glass, circuits, garbage, and others) are converted into energy once they're digested, which is his special power. Because of all this, he is the comic-relief.
Physical Appearance[]
Crunch is a heavyset, male robot whose primary colors are light purple and black. One feature that distinguishes him from the other Orbots are his steel trap-like jaws and teeth that allow him to easily chew through anything and devour it. When combining with the other Orbots to form the gestalt version of Mighty Orbots, he converts into a boxy unit that is the lower left leg. When connected, he also acts as a back-up power source and he can disconnect to consume more items in case extra power is needed.
Personality[]
Crunch is always hungry and gluttonous. He's also funny and though at first glance he may seem simple-minded, he proves to have some smartness. He makes for a supportive, steadfast ally.
