Chuck was the third acting crew chief of the Rust-eze racing team taking the place of an unidentified crew chief who in turn replaced the original Rust-eze crew chief, prior to his firing by Lightning McQueen due to the latter's preference of being a "one-man show". Chuck was a critical and somewhat inspirational coach, as he was known to lecture McQueen over his lack of road racing knowledge.
