You messed with the wrong bitch!
~ China to Shane.

China is the henchwoman and lover of Henry James the main antagonist of the 2004 action film Torque.

She was portrayed by Jaime Pressley, who also portrayed Mika in Mortal Kombat: Conquest, Priscilla from Not Another Teen Movie, and Violet from Poison Ivy: The New Seduction.

Biography[]

China is the girlfriend and main henchwoman of Henry James, a leader of an outlaw biker gang known as the Hellions. Her first scene has her taunting the main protagonist of the film Ford for "preferring to ride bitch." Ford's former girlfriend Shane retorts that Henry "is liable to catch something." China takes offence to this remark and prepares to stab Shane but is stopped by Henry who kisses her and then smacks her bottom, sending her lurching forward. She looks back at him sensuously and licks her lips implying that she gets off on pain. Henry then demands to know where the bike he had previously given Ford to repair which he had hidden drugs in is but Ford refuses to tell him.

Later on, during a party, Henry murders the brother of a rival gang after he was unable to underwrite a drug deal. China serves as the witness to the murder and under Henry's orders, informs the police that it was Ford who was the murderer.

Growing impatient with the lack of progress in finding his missing drugs, Henry along with China attack Shane's girlfriend and take her hostage. China is shown roughly slapping Shane's backside. But the FBI, Ford's gang, and the rival gang all end up converging at the same time throwing the group into chaos. China leaps on top of Ford in the confusion but he is able to easily throw her off of him, causing her hand to become stuck in a welding machine.

Shane eventually catches up with the fleeing China and they have a "bike catfight", performing wheelies and using their bikes as weapons. China tries to kill Shane with a pocketknife, but Shane is able to disarm her by acrobatically crouching on her bike. China grinds Shane's bike from behind and taunts her. The fight finally ends when Shane performs a similar acrobatic maneuver, but she flips and kicks a shocked China off of her bike and through a car windshield, seemingly killing her.

Personality[]

China was a ruthless biker at times coming off as truly psychotic. She took pleasure in other people's pain and watching them suffer as she took great enjoyment in watching Henry brutally torture and kill Junior. She was implied to be a sadomasochist as she showed strong signs of arousal when Henry James kissed her before roughly spanking her. Later, after taking Ford's girlfriend Shane hostage, China can be seen roughly spanking Shane while also tightly gripping her close to her body and breathing heavily further implying that she takes extreme sexual pleasure in both receiving pain as well as hurting others.

She was also shown to be very smug and arrogant as when she contacted the cops to pin the blame of the murder on Ford, she could be seen resting casually on the hood of one of the police cars and playing with a police cap.

China also appeared to have a tendency to fly into sudden fits of violent rage as shown in her first appearance where after insulting Ford, Shane gets back at her by making a comment that she probably has some kind of STD. In response, China completely loses it and tries to brutally stab Shane to death but is prevented from doing so by Henry implying that this probably isn't the first time she's snapped and killed or hurt somebody while angry.
