Kevin Keene is the main protagonist of Captain N: The Game Master. He was once a normal teenager who must now protect Videoland as Captain N.

Kevin is a natural master at gaming, hence he is the game master. He also knows about the games that appear as virtually real places, knowing what goes on. He also possesses a certain level of technopathy and "an interest in spacefaring".
Equipment[]
After Kevin is sucked into the television and into Videoland, he is given a Power Pad and an NES Zapper. Respectively, the Power Pad allows him to stop time (via the Pause button), allow him to leap at great heights and give him super speed (with left and right on the control pad), while the NES Zapper shoots energy beams to destroy enemies.
