Calvin's Dad is a main character in 1985 comic series Calvin and Hobbes. He is Calvin's father, and one of the first characters to appear in the comic. Although he does sometimes act like he doesn't like Calvin, he has shown that he loves him very much. Much like Calvin's Mom, he is never named in the strip.
Appearance
Calvin's Dad has black hair, and big square glasses. He often a long sleave shirt, black pants, and sneakers. When at work, he wears a brown suit with a tie.
Personality
Calvin's Dad can be quite old fashioned, loving camping, disliking TV, and telling Calvin to go read a book. He is also shown to be stingy, keeping the thermostat quite low during the winter.
