Blue is a major character of the Pokémon franchise, appearing as Red's rival. He also serves as the champion in Pokémon Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Fire Red, and Leaf Green, as well as the Viridian City Gym Leader in Pokémon Gold, Silver, Crystal, Heartgold, and Soulsilver. Blue also makes an appearance in the Pokémon Adventures manga.
Appearance[]
Blue is a male human of average build and light complexion. He has orange or brown hair in a spiky fashion, and is often seen wearing a necklace.
Personality[]
Blue is an arrogant and obnoxious jerk, and often says farewell by saying "Smell ya later!"
History[]
In the Core-Series Games[]
Blue and Red were given their first Pokémon by Professor Oak at the start of Pokémon Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Fire Red, and Leaf Green. From there they become fierce rivals as they travel the Kanto Region. Blue becomes the Champion before Red does, appearing as the Champion in the Kanto-based games (excluding Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee). Sometime later, Blue becomes the Viridian City Gym Leader, replacing the now-missing Giovanni. Years later, he and Red travel to the Alola Region, where he can be battled at the Battle Tree.
