Barbie Duffy is a character from the short, Hanna-Barbera, TV pilot, Duffy's Dozen. She is the oldest of the girls and the second oldest of both genders of kids adopted by Mr. Duffy and Mrs. Duffy. She was voiced by Janet Waldo.
About Barbie[]
Barbie is among the adopted offspring introduced in the role call in the opening sequence. It is stated that since the Duffy's do a lot of traveling, living in a camper has its challenges, such as having to wait for one another to take showers and sleeping in their ride. She and the others travel around the U.S. specifically to take trips to the country's famous, historical landmarks.
Barbie and the others have corn cobs while on a lunch break at Yellowstone. Barbie tells Alan he's going to get into trouble for breaking one of the park's rules. He has no idea what she's talking about and she clarifies that he broke the rule about not feeding wildlife (he had given a cookie to a bear earlier, which then searched in the family's RV for more food). He thinks one cookie couldn't do any harm, but she says this will cause the bear to return to the camper for more and other animals will do the same. Mr. Duffy notices the bear has his bowling ball and goes to retrieve it, despite objections from his wife and Hildy. Fearing that Mr. Duffy could get hurt, Barbie and the others follow Mrs. Duffy while Corky gets the park ranger. Everyone returns to where Mr. Duffy and the bear are with the park ranger, and they're prepared with a stretcher, which they also brought along with them. Everyone witnesses the ranger firing a sedation dart at Mr. Duffy and he goes out like a light. Barbie and the other Duffys then are back in their camper continuing their trip while Mr. Duffy still rests.
