Baby Sinclair is the youngest member of the Sinclair family from the TV show, "Dinosaurs". He was performed and voiced by Kevin Clash (who also performed and voiced Elmo on "Sesame Street").

Baby Sinclair, who has just emerged in the pilot episode "The Mighty Megalosaurus," is a bright but obnoxious youngster. His catchphrases include "Not the mama!" and "I'm the baby, gotta love me!" The latter is frequently said to Earl Sinclair, his father, whom the infant frequently beats with a frying pan and generally despises, especially in the early episodes, though their relationship gradually warms up with time. Although the infant's bond with mother Fran Sinclair is more secure and affectionate, the dinosaur youngster also makes fun of his siblings Charlene and Robbie. Grandmother Ethyl reads to the child a lot, and they both enjoy laughing at all of Earl's mistakes.

Additionally clever, Baby Sinclair was able to speak and spell at a very young age. Additionally clever, Baby Sinclair was able to speak and spell at a very young age. The infant Sinclair is briefly referred to as "Aaah Aagh I'm Dying You Idiot" until being given a formal name near the end of the second season as a result of the then-Chief Elder collapsing during the official christening. By the end of the episode, he had adopted the legal name "Baby Sinclair."

"Switched at Birth" featured the birthday of baby Sinclair. He reached a stage known as the "terrible twos" on his second birthday, which caused him to exhibit demonic behavior during the year that he was two. This is known as the "Terrible Twos" stage. Finally, the Sinclairs succeeded in making the Baby believe he was three years old.

Baby Sinclair was the most heavily marketed of the show's characters, appearing in assorted toys, Happy Meal prizes and the music video "I'm the Baby (Gotta Love Me)." He was featured on the box art of most Dinosaurs video releases and was the only character to appear outside of the series, serving as a co-host on the special For Our Children and a cameo in The Dream is Alive: 20th Anniversary Celebration of Walt Disney World. He's also featured in a Funko Pop

Performance notes[]

As a hand puppet creation and the smallest member of the show's core regular cast, the character was portrayed by Kevin Clash, with the eyes operated by John Kennedy and the arms by Terri Hardin (replaced by Julianne Buescher for the final season). Clash's voice for Baby at times resembled a more gleefully destructive Elmo.

As of 2014, Baby is the only surviving puppet from Dinosaurs.
