Professor Archimedes Q. Porter is the major character of Disney's 1999 film Tarzan, its 2002 sequel Tarzan & Jane and its 2001-03 television series The Legend of Tarzan. He is the father of Jane Porter, who came with his daughter from England to Africa to study gorillas.
