Angelina Meyer is Flight 828 passenger who is introduced in Manifest Season Three. She is portrayed by starring cast member Holly Taylor. She is a flight 828 passenger who the main characters rescue from her overly religious parents. At first starting out as shy and awkward, she slowly becomes mentally unstable, believing that Grace and Ben Stone's baby daughter Eden was her guardian angel, and eventually murdering Grace Stone and kidnapping Eden and raising her to believe that she is her mother.
Personality[]
Angelina is extremely shy and untrusting of people at first, but slowly, she learns to open herself up to people. Olive takes Angelina under her wing and they grow close. Angelina and Pete Baylor form a romantic relationship after a Calling brings them together, but unfortunately Pete dies, leaving Angelina devastated.
Due to the damage to her psyche her religious parents had already done to her, along with the death of Pete, Angelina became blank and lacked a will to do anything. Seeing the Stone family function normally despite the Callings, Angelina desired to be a part of it. Akin to the film The Roommate, Angelina began copying Olive's appearance and dying her hair to match, and even tried to kiss her boyfriend.
After seeing Eden cry before an earthquake, Angelina took it to mean that it was divine intervention and saw her as a guardian angel to her (partly due to her now-warped perception of religion) and tried to prove it by lighting a room on fire with them in it. By this point her perception was so warped, she seemed to think she was Olive. Her attachment to Eden was only worsened by an 828er, causing Angelina to kill Grace and kidnap Eden.
Season 4 shows her to have gone even further mentally unstable. She's made Eden believe she's her mother and doesn't feel a shred of guilt for murdering Grace. After being exposed to her religiously nuts parents again after losing Eden back to the Stones, Angelina began to crack even further. After gaining the Omega Sapphire, she attempted to manipulate Ben into giving Eden back; however, the child could tell Angelina was bad.
Angelina then began thinking she was an incarnate angel meant to save the world. Unaware she was damning it to the Death Date that would destroy everything. Even after having her plans backfired on her by Cal defying her, whatever was left of Angelina's mind broke and focused solely on her insane mission to save the world. Angelina went so far as to try to force the other passengers off of the plane, despite being heavily outnumbered and her powers failing her.
After losing her powers, Angelina seemed to give up to extent, telling Ben that she was ready to die. While still delusional and insane, Angelina admitted to being deeply remorseful over killing Grace and had been since the moment that she did it, causing Ben to forgive her for that action and save Angelina's life, earning his own survival from the Death Date in the process. Angelina's evil deeds were such that she was condemned for her actions on the Death Date, burning to ash and utterly powerless to stop it. With her last words, Angelina expresses shock that she was condemned, maintaining her insane belief right until the end that she was an angel.
