Alphonse Elric (アルフォンス・エルリック) is the deuteragonist of the manga and anime series Fullmetal Alchemist.
He is the younger brother of Edward Elric who lost his entire body when trying to resurrect their dead mother Trisha Elric with Alchemy forcing Ed (who had already lost his left leg) to sacrifice his right arm to seal Al's soul in a nearby suit of armor. This leads to him and Ed to set off an a journey to find a way to restore their bodies.
