Alan Duffy is a character from the short, Hanna-Barbera TV pilot, Duffy's Dozen. He is the oldest of the kids adopted by Mr. Duffy and Mrs. Duffy. He was voiced by Casey Kasem.
About Alan[]
Alan is introduced with the rest of the adoptive family in the opening sequence using a camera. He and the others live in a camper which presents its challenges, like having to take turns to shower and sleeping in the vehicle. He and the others travel all over the U.S., visiting an assortment of renowned landmarks.
Alan and the other Duffys are having corn cobs for lunch while at Yellowstone Park. After the plate of corn cobs has been emptied by the time it's passed to Jiro and he wonders where it is, a bear is found to have broken into their camper to steal that and other food. Alan is the one responsible for this as he gave to bear a cookie. Barbie tells him how he's going to get into trouble. Alan has no clue for what. Barbie tells him for breaking the rule of not feeding the animals. Alan doesn't see the harm in that and Barbie explains that the bear and other animals will just return for more food if they're fed. But Alan thinks nothing of it, doubting the bear will come back. When Mr. Duffy sees the bear has his bowling ball, he goes to get it back. Alan and the others (except Corky, who went to get the park ranger), follow Mrs. Duffy, and they all return with a body stretcher should Mr. Duffy get injured by the ursine. Everybody watches as the park ranger fires a tranquilizer dart into Mr. Duffy, causing him to drift off to his slumber. Alan and the rest of the family resume traveling in the camper. While driving, Mrs. Duffy asks Alan if Mr. Duffy is still sleeping. Alan says he is and that he'll be happy when he finds out that the bowling ball is back in his possession.
Physical Appearance[]
Alan is a slender, teen boy with short, dirty blond hair, fair skin, and beady, black eyes. He wears a burnt orange, long-sleeved shirt with folded collar; dark brown pants; a matching belt with a white, square buckle; and dark brown shoes.
