~ Air Conditioner |
Air Conditioner is a character in the film The Brave Little Toaster. He is voiced by Phil Hartman.
In the film, the Air Conditioner starts laughing at the protagonists for their optimism and confidence in their Master returning. He explains that it's been years since the Master moved away and that it's highly unlikely he will return. Kirby mentions that the Master and his family could drive up any second and the Air Conditioner continues to mock their optimism. Toaster assumes that Air Conditioner is simply jealous because the young Master never played with him like he did with the other appliances because he was too short to reach the A/C. This drives Air Conditioner to suspect a conspiracy and start getting angry. He begins to scream that he couldn't help it if the kid was too short to reach him and that he was simply doing his function that he was designed to do. As the Air Conditioner continues to rage, he begins overheating and sparking. The other appliances unplug themselves to be safe, but the A/C eventually overheats and blows out, seemingly dead.
Later in the film, after the remaining appliances left in search of the Master, it is revealed that the Master had gone back for them just before they arrived at his new home. Rob (the Master), now a grown man ready to start college, discovers the broken air conditioner and fixes him. Then, Air Conditioner is driven to tears of joy as he realizes that Rob has in fact come back, he truly does care, and he is now tall enough to use him. It is unknown what happened to him later, since the cottage was sold and Rob left for college, where he spends the first sequel, and is married with a child in the second sequel, though the A/C may have been moved to his new home even though he doesn't appear in the sequels.
